This vessel is the first in a series of new split barges for the Myanmar Port Authority.
The split barge operates is constructed and commissioned by Upland on the banks of the Irrawaddy river in Yangon. It took only 12 months from keel-laying to delivery to end-user.
Hydromaster supplied the steerable propulsion and the splitting system. They are all powered by a singular power pack including Yanmar engine, hydraulic power pack, splitting cylinders, and the controls.
Commissioning was performed by the Upland team independently at the site supported by Hydromaster online.
The new split barges make an amazing addition to the Myanmar Port Authority’s existing fleet.
