Electric Kotug E-Pusher
A remarkable project for Hydromaster Propulsion BV has been the development of the Kotug E-Pusher, a fully electric pusher vessel equipped with two 300 kW electric-driven Outboard Azimuth thrusters. Three of these innovative E-Pushers have now been built, with the first two already in operation, transporting cocoa beans between the Port of Amsterdam and the cocoa factories at the Zaanse Schans.
The third E-Pusher, recently delivered to the customer, will soon begin transporting sand and gravel in the Port of Rotterdam and along the Nieuwe Waterweg.
Following the success of these vessels, Hydromaster Propulsion has recently received a follow-up order from Kotug for an even larger E-Pusher design, demonstrating the ongoing commitment to clean and sustainable inland waterway transport.

Hydromaster has evolved and grown significantly over the years. Since 2015, we have operated under Dutch ownership. We’ve expanded our product range – adapting to changing needs such as hybrid and all-electric applications – modernized production, and evolved into a trusted propulsion partner for vessels owners across the globe.
As part of our international growth strategy, we established a local presence in Singapore in 2019 and recently in North America. With a growing presence and partner network across Europe, North America, and Asia, we continue to invest in the future of smart, reliable marine propulsion – built on expertise and always with a personal touch.
