Tunnel Thrusters
Robust tunnel thrusters for precise maneuvering
Hydromaster’s range of tunnel thrusters are fitted with standard Hydromaster gearboxes producing maximum side thrust, either used as a mooring thruster or to assist the vessel to maintain position on DP vessels. A large reduction ratio allows for relatively large propeller diameters, delivering higher thrust at lower input power.
The tunnel thrusters are fitted with a wear ring in a steel tunnel. At standard lengths or lengths tailor made to your vessel. Also available in aluminium.
Electric driven
- Equipped with an AC variable speed drive
- Vertical or horizontal electric induction motor
- Option for Permanent Magnet (PM) motor
Hydraulic driven
- Fitted with a hydraulic motor
- Available as a complete package with pump-motor or engine combination and tank unit
Engine driven
- L-Drive or Z-Drive configuration
- Connected with a cardan shaft to a diesel engine fitted with a reversible gearbox
Remote control panel
A drop-in control panel for installation in the wheelhouse desk(s), offering full functionality:
- Push buttons for proportional speed control (port & starboard)
- Emergency stop
- Thrust indication
- Dimmer and buzzer for clear operator feedback
