Hydromaster propels Lake Windermere cruise ship

The 34-meter cruise vessel ‘Swift’ is commencing operations at Lake Windermere in the UK.

The vessel, built by DAMEN, is propelled by two HYDROMASTER Series 3 Well Mounted L-drive Azimuth thruster units.

Operation from the wheelhouse is done by two independent follow up control levers. This allows for combined 360° steering and variable speed control of the two 150 kW electric motors.

Along with the frequency drives, these were included in the Hydromaster scope as part of the thruster package.
